TLV - Free Float Steam Trap Models: JH3S-X, JH3S-B
The TLV JH3S-X and JH3S-B are high-performance, reliable, and durable stainless steel free float steam traps. Designed specifically for use on small-size process equipment, these traps ensure optimal heat transfer. The JH3S-B model is additionally engineered to withstand high-pressure and superheated steam process conditions.
Key Features:-
1) Continuous Condensate Discharge: The self-modulating free float adjusts automatically to process load variations. This delivers a continuous, smooth, and low-velocity discharge.
2) Steam-Tight Seal: Features a precision-ground float, a constant water seal, and a unique three-point seating design. This combination guarantees a steam-tight seal even under no-load conditions.
3) Automatic Air Venting:
- JH3S-X: Equipped with a thermostatic capsule (X-element) featuring a "fail open" design. It automatically vents air at close-to-steam temperatures.
- JH3S-B: Utilizes a thermostatic bimetal air vent valve for rapid system startup
4) Extended Service Life & Easy Maintenance: Includes a built-in screen with a large surface area to maximize trouble-free operation. Inline access to internal parts simplifies cleaning and significantly reduces maintenance costs.
5) Dimensions & Discharge Capacity
- Installation Flexibility: Compact design with weights starting from 2.7 kg (Screwed/Socket Welded) up to 5.8 kg (25 mm Flanged Class 600RF), making layout integration easy.
- Sizing Recommendation: When calculating the required discharge capacity, a safety factor of at least 1.5 is highly recommended.
