NON ASBESTOS SHEET
VALQUA NO. 6500
Description : 6500 is a general purpose compressed fiber sheet containing organic and inorganic fibers with an NBR binder. It offers very good oil and heat resistance and conforms to British National Water Council's requirements for safety and hygiene. It has American Bureau of shipping 's type approval for the gaskets of fire mains and fittings.
Applicable Fluids : Air, water, steam, petroleum oil, aqueous solutions of neutral salts, weak acids, weak alkalis, general gases.

Applications : Gasketing of pipe flanges, valve bonnets and equipment joints in petrorefining, chemical and shipbuilding industries.

PTFE GASKET

(VALQUA NO. 7010, 7020,7026,N7030,N7031,7GP61)
The fluorocarbon resin PTFE is chemically inert and offers a superior chemical resistance property. Our PTFE gaskets include a variety of structures ; i.e. solid, virgin, filled, enveloped and unsintered types.

VLAQUA NO.7010{ virgin PTFE gasket.}
Our engineering suggests that it be used primarily in tongue-and-groove joints because it is apt to cause cold-flow.

V#7020 {Valqualon (fawn) gasketing }

Is made by a proprietary VALQUA process which reconstructs PTFE onto a superior gasket material. This material displays a unique combination of distinctive physical properties not found in conventional gasketings, being equipped with heat, chemical and cold-flow resistance characteristics. As a result, it can be used as a direct replacement for compressed asbestos fiber jointing and virgin PTFE or PTFE-enveloped gaskets in the majority of installations. It has passed 'Safety and sanitation' requirements of National Water Committee of England.

VALQUA NO.7026 {VALQUALON (Black)}

Is a sister gasketing of 7020, but it is especially designed to suit fluoric acids and strong alkalis.

PTFE ENVELOPED GASKET

N7030, N7031 and N7035 are PTFE-enveloped gaskets, which are manufactured from a compressed fiber jointing cushion and virgin PTFE film envelope. Each style has N and S types as illustrated below. The former has only a compressed fiber jointing cushion while the latter has an additional cushion material to minimize cold flow of the envelope and is suitable for higher temperature and pressure services.

CORDSEAL-SOFT

(VALQUA NO. 7GS62A, 7GS64N, 7GS66A)
It is a radically new from of PTFE gasketing material. Although very strong and durable, it is soft and marshmallowy in character, permitting it to conform easily to irregular surfaces and to compress to a thin, wide ribbon under pressure. It comes in the form of a continuous cord. Because it is 100% PTFE, it can be used in many applications where other materials fail quickly, either because of attack by corrosion chemical or because of breakdown from exposure to high or low temperatures.

Applications

  1. On flange or joints of rough surface finish or distorted surface or large diameter flanges where seating stress is insufficient.
  2. On flanges of towers, tanks, boiler, heat exchangers or pressure vessels lined with glass or resins or FRP, glass, ceramics or graphite-manufactured flanges.
  3. Pipe or duct flanges.
  4. Valve stems.
